Suzuki Strings Ensemble Beginning and Advanced Suzuki classes are open to students ages 3 and up who are studying privately with a registered Suzuki teacher.  Cclass is one hour in length. Beginning to Camerata level students play Suzuki repertoire, fiddle, jazz, blues and classical repertoire. Parts are arranged by Jane Frey for combined YAS performances to include every student. Music Theory and Music And Movement A class open to every YAS Student and Parent. Notereading, rhythm reading and Eurythimics (Music and Movement) for all ages 3-103+. Camerata String Ensemble The Camerata string ensemble is a beginning orchestra for students who are new to ensemble playing with a conductor and other instruments.  Students learn orchestra etiquette and perform on their own and with a larger group during the year. Note Reading - Beginning level note recognition. Miss Jane teaches note reading and increases the sight-reading level to Intermediate Symphony standards. Rhythm Reading - Basic understanding of quarter notes, half notes, whole notes, eighth notes and corresponding rests. Miss Jane teaches rhythm reading, increasing the difficulty level and combining with notes for comprehensive sight-reading. In addition, Miss Jane incorporates a gradual removal of finger numbers to reach Intermediate Symphony standards.
